The Onion seems to have an oddly accurate focus on the immediate issues in my daily life lately. A few weeks ago, when I was considering taking a fellowhip to work as a NYC school teacher, they ran a cautionary tale about such programs. However, I submit a letter of resignation, and they run an Opinions column declaring "Take this Job and Shove it, Following the Customary Two-Week Notification Period." Unfortunately, it seems to be echoing my movements, not predicting them, so I can't look there for clues to my new job.
Hopefully, though, next week's issue won't be discussing the trials of unemployment. (That last link is for you, ejiaw, if you're out there...)
